Ideas For Table Tops | Is tradition changing? For years we view the long straight head table build for your bride, groom and wedding party. It can be a bit more challenging to contact the complete wedding party especially if it’s one large long table. Now, we have been seeing more brides looking at different alternatives for their head table. Many want a more intimate, restaurant feel as if they’re spending the evening out with their friends in the relaxed and fun atmosphere (which they’re naturally).
Over the final year or two I have seen some unique head table setups. Many brides wish to avoid the long table look and select “out from the norm”. It is surprising to hear several couples mention how shy they’re and do not wish to be the center of attention while eating their meal. Others just wish to stand out and earn their wedding their unique style.
Here are several ideas:
Restaurant style: How about one round table in the middle from the hall with color linens and centerpieces entirely not the same as all of your other guest tables. It would be quite evident that is the “head table”. You can even ask your decorator to hang crystals or paper lanterns from your ceiling that is to be only over your table.

Modern Twist: Boardroom or U-shape “King table” as it’s called is build in the middle of your venue by using 8 tables in the square formation. This is certainly one of my favourites as possible accent the centre from the tables filled up with many candles, a water pond which can be great, or floral arrangements.
