Pub Table Ideas | Is tradition changing? For years we have seen the long straight head table set up to the bride, groom and wedding party. It can be a much more difficult to speak with the entire wedding party particularly when it really is one large long table. Now, were seeing more brides taking a look at different alternatives for his or her head table. Many require a more intimate, restaurant feel as though they may be spending the evening out with their friends in a relaxed and fun atmosphere (which they may be needless to say).
Over the last year or two I have seen some unique head table setups. Many brides want to prevent the long table look and choose “out of the norm”. It is surprising to hear a number of couples mention how shy they may be and do not want to be in the spotlight while eating their meal. Others just want to differ making their wedding their very own style.
Here are a number of ideas:
Restaurant style: How about one round table in the centre of the hall with color linens and centerpieces entirely distinctive from all of your other guest tables. It would be quite evident that’s the “head table”. You can even ask your decorator to hang crystals or paper lanterns from your ceiling that’ll be only over your table.

Modern Twist: Boardroom or U-shape “King table” as it really is called is set up in the centre of your venue by using 8 tables in a square formation. This is one of my favourites as possible accent the centre of the tables stuffed with many candles, a water pond which can be great, or floral arrangements.
