Table Base Ideas | Is tradition changing? For years we percieve the long straight head table build to the bride, groom and bridal party. It can be a much more challenging to contact your entire bridal party particularly if it can be one large long table. Now, we have been seeing more brides looking at different options for their head table. Many want a more intimate, restaurant feel as though they may be spending the evening out using friends in a relaxed and fun atmosphere (which they may be obviously).
Over the very last few years I have seen some unique head table setups. Many brides wish to prevent the long table look and opt for “out with the norm”. It is surprising to hear several couples mention how shy they may be and do not wish to be the main attraction while eating their meal. Others just wish to differ and make their wedding their very own style.
Here are several ideas:
Restaurant style: How about one round table in the centre with the hall with color linens and centerpieces entirely different from all of your other guest tables. It would be quite evident which is the “head table”. You can even ask your decorator to hang crystals or paper lanterns in the ceiling that will be only over your table.

Modern Twist: Boardroom or U-shape “King table” as it can be called is build in the centre of your venue by utilizing 8 tables in a square formation. This is considered one of my favourites as possible accent the centre with the tables full of many candles, a water pond which is awesome, or floral arrangements.
