Table Runner Ideas Pinterest | Is tradition changing? For years we come across the long straight head table build for the bride, groom and bridal party. It can be a little more difficult to communicate with the entire bridal party in particular when it can be one large long table. Now, we’re seeing more brides taking a look at different choices for head table. Many want a more intimate, restaurant feel as though they are spending the evening out using friends in the relaxed and fun atmosphere (which they are obviously).
Over the final year or two I have seen some unique head table setups. Many brides need to avoid the long table look and go for “out in the norm”. It is surprising to hear a few couples mention how shy they are and do not need to be the center of attention while eating their meal. Others just need to stand out making their wedding their unique style.
Here are a few ideas:
Restaurant style: How about one round table in the centre in the hall with color linens and centerpieces entirely not the same as all of your other guest tables. It would be quite evident that is the “head table”. You can even ask your decorator to hang crystals or paper lanterns in the ceiling that’ll be only over your table.

Modern Twist: Boardroom or U-shape “King table” as it can be called is build in the centre of your venue by using 8 tables in the square formation. This is certainly one of my favourites that you can accent the centre in the tables filled up with many candles, a water pond which is awesome, or floral arrangements.
