Table Top Decor Ideas | Is tradition changing? For years we view the long straight head table build for the bride, groom and marriage ceremony. It can be a little more tough to speak with the entire marriage ceremony particularly when it really is one large long table. Now, were seeing more brides considering different options because of their head table. Many need a more intimate, restaurant feel like they may be spending the evening out using friends in a very relaxed and fun atmosphere (which they may be needless to say).
Over the past year or so I have seen some unique head table setups. Many brides wish to prevent the long table look and opt for “out of the norm”. It is surprising to hear several couples mention how shy they may be and wish to be the center of attention while eating their meal. Others just wish to stand out and make their wedding their unique style.
Here are several ideas:
Restaurant style: How about one round table at the center of the hall with color linens and centerpieces entirely distinctive from all of your other guest tables. It would be quite evident which is the “head table”. You can even ask your decorator to hang crystals or paper lanterns from your ceiling that’ll be only over your table.

Modern Twist: Boardroom or U-shape “King table” as it really is called is build at the center of the venue by using 8 tables in a very square formation. This is among my favourites since you can accent the centre of the tables full of many candles, a water pond which is great, or floral arrangements.
