Western Table Centerpiece Ideas | Is tradition changing? For years we come across the long straight head table set up for your bride, groom and wedding party. It can be a much more challenging to contact the whole wedding party in particular when it can be one large long table. Now, we have been seeing more brides taking a look at alternative ideas because of their head table. Many want a more intimate, restaurant feel like they may be spending the evening out with their friends in the relaxed and fun atmosphere (which they may be naturally).
Over the very last year or two I have seen some unique head table setups. Many brides need to avoid the long table look and select “out with the norm”. It is surprising to know several couples mention how shy they may be and don’t need to be the center of attention while eating their meal. Others just need to differ and make their wedding their unique style.
Here are several ideas:
Restaurant style: How about one round table in the centre with the hall with color linens and centerpieces entirely distinctive from your other guest tables. It would be quite evident this is the “head table”. You can even ask your decorator to hang crystals or paper lanterns through the ceiling that will be only over your table.

Modern Twist: Boardroom or U-shape “King table” as it can be called is set up in the centre of one’s venue through the use of 8 tables in the square formation. This is considered one of my favourites since you can accent the centre with the tables filled up with many candles, a water pond that’s fantastic, or floral arrangements.
